Current Research in Combustion: A Forum for Research Students and Early Career Researchers

Organised by IOP Combustion Physics Group at Loughborough University on 24th September 2013.

The aim of the meeting is provide a forum for contributions on current research in topics relevant to combustion physics and an opportunity to meet other researchers and industrialists. The meeting is sponsored by the IOP and industry and will provide industrialists with a broad view of current combustion research and a chance to meet potential recruits in the field.

The meeting includes oral and poster presentations from leading research groups in the field of Combustion Physics and will cover many varied aspects of combustion. The meeting is open to members and non-members of the Institute of Physics and promises to be an interesting and constructive day of presentations and discussions about current research topics in Combustion Physics.

Early career researchers wishing to submit a poster or present their current combustion-related research should submit an abstract at the event website, https://www.iopconferences.org/iop/445/home, for consideration as soon as possible. The submission deadline is 20th August 2013. Please indicate your preference for a poster or oral presentation. The presentations should be 20 minutes in length leaving 5 minutes for questions. Presenters should either be research students focussed on combustion or combustion engineers in the early stages of their career in industry (having obtained their research degree in the last 5 years).

Companies wishing to display a stand for recruitment purposes should contact Dr Catherine Gardner (Catherine.gardner (at) rolls-royce.com) for further information.
