Future Internal Combustion Engines and their Fuels

The Autumn Meeting of The Combustion Institute (British Section) will take place in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford on 12 September 2012. The one-day meeting will review the challenges posed by engines with increased specific output and changing fuel supplies. The AGM for the Combustion Institute will also take place during the meeting, and all members are encouraged to attend.
Speakers include John Williams (BP), JWG Turner (Lotus and C Salamon, Jaguar Cars), Gautam Kalghatgi, (Aramco), Markus Kraft (Cambridge), Andreas Kolbeck (FEV), Roger Cracknell (Shell) and Denis Gill (AVL). See full programme here.

Poster Session
A poster session will be held during the meeting, and a prize will be awarded to the best contribution. Poster abstracts for prize consideration should be emailed to richard.stone@eng.ox.ac.uk by 1 September, 2012.
Directions to the meeting
The meeting is in the Department of Engineering Science Thom Building, LR1. The registration desk will be by Reception which is on the 1st floor level and accessible via an external staircase.
Parking spaces are very limited and only available to those with a specific need.
Visitors are recommended to use public transport. Watereaton Park and Ride is most likely to have spaces, and there is a bus stop immediately South of the Department.
